No crazy outlaw gangster meetings, but in Ithaca, it was proven you can still get some Tomatillos when it is 4 degrees outside. Tomatillo tortilla soup, made with black beans, garlic, onions, crushed tomatoes, tons of spices, as well as some chipotles, and some collard greens for added niceness.
It was a real nice alternative to the master Cleanse Stew is hustlin right now. I hope he reads this and cracks....

Today for lunch i made a cheatin' ass ghetto creamy veg soup. I say I cheated because i used one of those cartons of organic potato leek soup (which, mind you, has neither enough flavor nor salt to stand alone!). Then i added some fake chicken stock. i sauteed garlic, onion, carrots, celery, some broccoli and some cabbage and added those. Threw in a bay leaf or two, some italian type seasonings, nutritional yeast, SALT and pepper. Then pureed half of it to bring the creaminess back up. It was surprisingly delicious!
